DUP stunt politics continue with Health Committee walk-out

Sinn Fein Health Committee member, Sue Ramsey MLA, has called on the DUP to either serve the people properly or resign its Executive positions.

Ms Ramsey said:

``Today marked the first opportunity for the Health Committee members to question the Minister. It should have been an occasion when party politics would take a back seat to informing ourselves about the measures the Minister intends taking to overcome the present crisis in the Health Service.

``Rather than participate constructively in finding solutions the DUP, true to form, once more indulged in its schoolyard type stunt politics by walking out. If this is the only contribution the DUP has to the new political dispensation then it should resign its Executive positions and allow those politicians who wish to get on with the business they were elected to do, do so.''
