McLaughlin criticises Mallon

Sinn Fein Chairperson Mitchel McLaughlin has described remarks this evening by SDLP Deputy Leader Seamus Mallon as ``deeply disappointing'' and ``giving succour to the rejectionist unionists''.

Mr. Mallon said:

``Mr. Mallon's remarks tonight were deeply disappointing and unhelpful.

``Playing the blame game, instead of seeking to solve problems, is only to give comfort to the rejectionist unionists who are currently setting the political agenda.''

``Mr. Mallon knows that there is no way back if the institutions are collapsed.''
