Dublin to remember Hunger Strikes

Sinn Fein MP for Fermanagh South Tyrone Michelle Gildernew will be the main speaker at a national rally in Dublin tomorrow, Saturday 6th October, to commemorate the 1981 Hunger Strikes.

The march will leave the Garden of Remembrance on Parnell Square at 2pm and parade to the GPO where a musical pageant will take place.

Guest artists include Karen Casey, Tony MacMahon and Barry Kerr.

The event is being organised by the Dublin 1981 Committee and is expected to be one of the largest mobilisations in the city for some years.
