Kehoe calls on Ministers to intervene in school dispute

Sinn Fein Councillor Nicky Kehoe this afternoon called on Ministers Noel Dempsey and Micheál Martin to immediately intervene to resolve difficulties at St. Vincent's School on the Navan Road where health care workers have been withdrawn resulting in a downgrading of essential services.

Cllr. Kehoe said:

``Parents at St. Vincent's School on the Navan Road were this morning forced into the invidious position of protesting at the school to try and highlight the difficulties which are being caused due to the withdrawal of healthcare workers.

``While the upgrading of education services at the school is to be welcomed it should not have been done at the expense of healthcare services. The lack of  these services is causing severe stress to both pupils and parents at the school.

``I am calling Ministers Noel Dempsey and Micheál Martin to intervene immediately to resolve this dispute.''
