`No sign of Bertie's army' - O'Toole
`Is it a secret army?'
Sinn Fein Dublin North East candidate Larry O'Toole has said that there is no sign of the Taoiseach's promised 100,000 Fianna Fáil canvassers across the 26 Counties:
``I have spoken to my colleague candidates around the country and all confirm that there is still no sign of Bertie Ahern's promised army of 100,000 canvassers. If it exists at all it is a secret army.
``In contrast Sinn Fein candidates have mobilised acitivists and supporters in unprecedented numbers in every constituency. This is being remarked upon by other parties. I am confident that our party members and our growing numbers of supporters will reap the rewards for the hard work of our candidates on polling day in seven days time.''
