Reports of O Muireagáin release welcomed

Sinn Fein Ard Chomhairle member Bairbre de Brún has welcomed reports that West Belfast Irish Language activist Séan O Muieagáin has been released.

Ms de Brún said:

`` I obviously welcome reports that Seán O Muireagáin has been released by the Israeli authorities. He should never have been arrested and detained in the first place.

`` However serious questions remain to be answered surrounding the role of British Intelligence agencies in the initial arrest and of elements of the media in the subsequent coverage of this incident.''
