Maskey to call on republicans to continue to be agents of change at annual Wolfe Tone Commemoration

Sinn Fein's former Mayor of Belfast Alex Maskey will deliver the main address at the annual Wolfe Tone Commemoration at Bodenstown, Sallins, Co. Kildare this afternoon, Sunday 22nd June.

During the address Cllr. Maskey is expected to discuss the need for republicans to continue to be agents of change in the peace process, in bringing about social and economic change and in achieving a united Ireland. He will call for a new period of intensive activity in the reach out to unionism and demand that the cancelled Assembly elections go ahead.

It is expected that this will be one of the biggest republican commemorations at Bodenstown in recent years.

The parade will assemble in Sallins village at 2pm and march to Bodenstown Cemetery.
