Martin McGuinness to meet Richard Haass in London

Sinn Fein's Chief Negotiator Martin McGuinness is in London this morning for a meeting with President Bush's Special Envoy for the north Richard Haass.

Speaking this morning before the meeting Mr. McGuinness said:

``Our meeting will provide an opportunity to review the current crisis in the peace process.

``I will stress to Mr. Haass Sinn Fein's view that the two governments, but especially the British government, need to move decisively to fill the political vacuum, implement the Good Friday Agreement and set a firm date for Assembly elections.''ENDS
