Sinn Fein President Applauds Pearson Victory

Gerry Adams, Sinn Fein President commented today on the news that Brian Pearson, former Republican prisoner, has won his fight against deportation from the United States.

Mr. Adams said:

Justice has been done in the case of Brian Pearson. Brian is a credit to his community and continues that great tradition of Irish immigrants contributing to the United States.

It is the hope of Sinn Fein as well as Irish America that Brian Pearsons case will be the first victory. The other men facing similar legal battles can take heart from this decision. Justice has prevailed and hopefully will continue to do so in the remaining cases to be decided.
