Sinn Fein will not be intimidated by Loyalist violence

Sinn Fein Chairperson, Mitchel McLaughlin, speaking after an explosion at the Derry Sinn Fein Office this morning said:

``The bomb at the Derry Sinn Fein Office this morning is part of a pattern which is designed to intimidate Sinn Fein and our party activists in the run-up to the Westminster elections. It follows similar attacks, including the planting of a 25lb bomb outside our Monaghan offices and the 100lb bomb outside our New Lodge Office in Belfast.

``Sinn Fein nor our party activists, who have borne the brunt of these campaign, including the murder of thirteen of our members and the wounding of many more, will be deterred in our task by either British or pre-British terror.''
