US court decision a `deep disappointment' - Adams

Sinn Fein President Gerry Adams has expressed his ``deep disappointment'' at the decision in a California Court today to order the extradition of Paul Brennan, Kevin Barry Artt and Terry Kirby.

The Sinn Fein leader has called on ``all of those concerned with truth and justice to redouble their efforts in defence of Irish political refugees in the US.''

Mr. Adams said:

``These men are victims of British injustice in Ireland. They, and a number of others currently fighting deportation, have led exemplary lives in the US and made a positive and valuable contribution to that society. They are married to US citizens and have children.

Todays judgement should act as a spur on Irish-America and all of those concerned with truth and justice, to redouble their efforts to prevent the extradition and deportation of Irish political refugees.''
