TD says SF affirmed Mitchell on same basis as all parties

Sinn Fein TD Caoimhghín ó Caoláin has said that his party affirmed the Mitchell Principles on the same basis as all other parties. He urged all parties to be in attendance at the substantive talks on Monday 15 September.

Deputy ó Caoláin said:

``The essential point in relation to the IRA is that its cessation is in place. None of the armed groups have disarmed. What is needed is the building of trust and agreement through dialogue. The opportunity to begin real dialogue and substantive negotiations is there for all now. It must be seized.''
